Vh1 Confirms Brooke Bailey and Adiz Bambi for "Basketball Wives LA"
Will these two new additions add drama or positivity?
The rumors are true. Vh1 has confirmed that Brooke Bailey and Adiz Bambi have been added to the cast of “Basketball Wives LA.” Both women are video girls and Bailey is not stranger to reality TV. I mentioned before that Bailey appeared on E!’s now defunct “Candy Girls,” where she indulged in her share of drama. She wasn’t as bad as she could have been, especially considering what we’ve seen on reality TV since then, but she was extra, which means she’ll probably bring that same element to “Basketball Wives LA.”
Bambi is also a video girl but the twist with her storyline is that she’s an aspiring rapper. That’s all I know about her. It’s not clear whether Bambi has had relationships with NBA players but Bailey once had a high-profile relationship with Rashad Lewis (he played for the SuperSonics, Magic, Wizards and currently Miami Heat) a couple of years ago. She’s also dated people in the music industry as seen on “Candy Girls.”
The new ladies will join Gloria Govan, Laura Govan, Malaysia Pargo, Imani Showalter, Jackie Christie and Draya Michele for the show, which is currently taping and will air in September. Tanya Williams and Kimsha Artest, who were only seen in about two episodes each during the first season aren’t returning.
I’m not sure what element Bambi will bring but I think Brooke is going to be a problem child, like I said. The fighting and bullying during the last season of “Basketball Wives Miami” incited fierce backlash that caused Shaunie O’Neal to speak out and say that she and producers are working to produce a more positive show but … I don’t believe it. I guess I have to see it.
