Job Outlook More Important Than Graduation Rates
Americans believe the likelihood of landing a job is the most important when picking a college.
Picking a college is one of the most important and first decisions you’ll make as a young adult. But now, Americans are less concerned with college's graduation rates and more with post grad job placement, according to a recent poll.
And their concern is justified. The tanking of the economy left many college grads working at dead-end jobs, completely unrelated to their majors. In order to avoid this cruel fate, more students are looking at universities job placement rates.
Their second biggest concern was price and down the list were grad rates.
We’ve seen some positive signs in the job market, but not enough to make incoming freshmen feel at ease.
