1 Day Until the National Action to Realize the Dream March
Join community leaders and civic rights activists as they march for better opportunities.
We’re one day away from celebrating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, the historic event where thousands marched for jobs and against discrimination and also where Rev. Martin Luther King delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech.
Join the National Action Network for their National Action to Realize the Dream March, where they will stand against the recent attacks on voter rights, discrimination, unemployment and poverty. Thousands will gather at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on August 24, 2013 at 8 AM.
D.C. will also have the honor of hosting several other advocacy events, including a speech from President Barack Obama on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
Loop21 will be covering the events, so tune in to the conversation using #Action4theDream and #L21Change.
How will you make a difference?
