Not only did the US officials acquire 35 world leaders' phone numbers, the spies of US National Security Agency have their sights set on heads of states for Brazil, Germany, and Mexico. Why though?
In a leaked memo published by the UK's Guardian newspaper, reasons read that over 200 phone numbers for 35 world leaders had been collected for the US officials' collection of contacts.
"The PCs [intelligence production centers] have noted little reportable intelligence form these particular numbers, which appear not to be used for sensitive discussions," the memo read. "However, these numbers have provided lead information to other numbers that have subsequently been tasked."
