Americans are outraged by food stamp recipients buying expensive food items, like crab legs, and believe they should not be allowed to do so.
The poll conducted by the Huffington Post revealed that 54 percent of those surveyed believe they should not be allowed to buy expensive food, as oppose to 32 percent who believed it was acceptable.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has recently been the target of heated debates and has garnered attention from Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin, who believes physically fit people on food stamps are committing fraud.
Individuals on food stamps are often the subject of cash register resentment for relying on the program.
