Trayvon Martin's Mom Releases Song
Sybrina Fulton is featured in "Joy in the Morning" and delivers a powerful message.
Sybrina Fulton, mother of the slain teen Trayvon Martin, released a song with gospel singer T-D.O.G.G. to honor her son. Fulton wanted to deliver the following message to all families affected by gun violence:
"No matter what you do, always know God is in control. You must always stay encouraged and hold your head high. I am glad to know that my angel Trayvon is watching over me and a piece of my heart is in heaven.”
Although she doesn’t sing, Fulton is featured during the introduction and outro of the song, "Joy in the Morning."
George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed the 17-year-old, was acquitted of second-degree murder, sparking a series of marches to stand in solidarity with the Martin family.
