UCLA Program Brings Latino Doctors To Poor Areas
The graduate program allows students to study without having to worry about expenses.
More Latino doctors may soon be coming to a clinic or hospital near you.
That is because of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) International Medical Graduate program which aims to address the gap between Spanish-speaking immigrants and Latino doctors.
The program not only trains soon-to-be Latino doctors but also pays for their living expenses due to the difficulty of preparing for a license while working.
It is a privately funded program that saves students thousands of dollars.
Are there Latino doctors in your local clinic or hospital?
