Will Obamacare Help?
Those looking to purchase basic health coverage are in luck.
"For millions of Americans, these new options will finally make health insurance work within their budget," said Kathleen Sebelius of Health and Human Services.
The averages and prices will vary based on factors such as family size, age, tobacco use, and income. From an average $144 in Minnesota to $425 in Wyoming, people currently uninsured who qualify for financial assistance or enrollment via Medicaid, a federal-state health program, the average prices will be low with Obamacare.
Coverage will cost less than $100 per month for 56 percent of uninsured people. The least expensive plan, for example, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, will cost $24 per month including subsidies.
