Sly Stone living out of a van in LA x Colin Powell book coming in May x Netflix secures deal with DreamWorks

Colin Powell's book is set to hit stories in May. "It Worked For Me: Lessons in Leadership and Life" is a collection of personal tales from the four-star U.S. Army general and former Secretary of State. He previously published his autobiography, "My American Journey," in 1995.

Tiger Woods announced Sunday on his website that he has hired Dustin Johnson's caddie. "Joe [LaCava] is an outstanding caddie, and I have known him for many years," Woods said. "I've personally seen the great job he did for Freddie [Couples]. I'm anxious for us to be working together."

Funk legend Sly Stone is now homeless and living out of a white van in Los Angeles, according to the NY Post. Stone, 68, is suing his manager Jerry Goldstein for $50 million, alleging fraud and 20 years of stolen royalty payments.

President Barack Obama spoke at the annual awards dinner of the Congressional Black Caucus in Washington, D.C. Saturday, saying passage of his jobs plan would help African-Americans. “Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes,” he said, his voice rising as applause and cheers mounted. “Shake it off. Stop complainin’. Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”

DreamWorks Animation has completed a deal to pump its films and television specials through Netflix, replacing HBO. DreamWorks has an output partnership with HBO that expires in 2013, and Netflix would stream a limited number of DreamWorks films until that time.
