Fashion Fair Appoints Celebrity Makeup Artist Sam Fine As Creative Director
1 year ago
Fine's client list includes Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah and more
Fashion Fair, the largest black-owned cosmetics company in the world, has appointed celebrity makeup artist Sam Fine as their new Creative Makeup Director.
This is a great decision for the brand because Fine brings in not only 20 years of experience, but also a client list like no other. His clients include Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks and Mary J Blige and more.
“There’s no place I’d rather foster my creative energies,” Fine says. “Fashion Fair was a barrier-breaking cosmetic line since its inception 38 years ago and remains a leader in prestige cosmetics for women of color.”
The president of Fashion Fair says Fine is a true artist who understands women of color and has built an illustrious career unparalleled in the industry.
In a recent interview with Allure Magazine, Fine says he'll be "looking at color and shade ranges for the company, and also developing a color-based collection that will come out in the spring."
With his Twitter followers reaching over 22,000, Fine says some of the most common beauty questions he gets are, ‘What foundation can I buy?’ What concealer can I buy?’ He compares it to grocery shopping and tells them to think about it before going to the store and to know what it is they want from the coverage.
