Hip Hop Mogul James Rosemond Arrested on Drug Charges

"Jimmy Henchman" accused of running cocaine ring

Hip hop mogul James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond was arrested Tuesday in a drug case that involved trafficking drugs in "road cases" between Los Angeles and New York.

Rosemond, who was recently linked to a Tupac Shakur shooting, is accused of running a cocaine ring. U.S. Marshals found the owner of Czar Entertainment at the W Hotel in New York.

His attorney says his client has been framed. The charges are "the result of witnesses who have been bribed and threatened by the government to implicate Jimmy in the crimes charged," Jeffrey Lichtman said. "It's been a long time coming, but the government wants a fight so we'll give them one."

Rosemond was recently accused by inmate Dexter Isaac, who is serving a life sentence for an urelated case, of hiring him to rob and murder Tupac. "I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman]," said Isaac's statement. Tupac survived the 1994 attack but was shot and killed two years later in Las Vegas.

Now whether Isaac is trying to frame Rosemond or not, investigators are going to be all over these accusations. This letter from prison could possibly be another step towards the right direction in solving the never-ending case of Tupac's death.
