Loop 21 Presents: 'Is Marriage for White People?' Twitter Roundtable
1 year ago
Join us today at 3pm Est to discuss love, dating, marriage and #WhiteMarriage
The ongoing debate surrounding black women and marriage has remained white hot for years. The latest to stroke the fire is a new book by Stanford law professor Ralph Richard Banks entitled "Is Marriage for White People?: How the African-American Marriage Decline Affects Everyone." Loop 21 recently published an interview with Banks, who addressed several interesting points about black women settling, being afraid of interracial dating and finding love.
Of course we couldn't drop the subject and by the comments on our Facebook and Twitter, neither could you. So we asked Loop contributors Jamilah "Sister ToldJa" Lemieux and Dr. Goddess to join us for a Twitter Roundtable. The conversation will take place today 3pm - 4pm EST. We encourage you to join the conversation either on our Facebook page, the comments sections of this post or, of course, via Twitter. To participate, follow us on Twitter @TheLoop21 and use #WhiteMarriage to see your comment appear in the box below.
