Los Angeles Lakers Hasn't Watched 'Basketball Wives L.A.'
After walking his first show during New York Fashion Week, Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes headed to Harlem's Phuket Lounge to celebrate Michelle Harrington's birthday, wife of Denver Nugget Al Harrington. The two played together in Oakland for the Golden State Warriors.
And although his wife and sister-in-law, Gloria and Laura Govan, are basking in their new limelight thanks to VH1's Basketball Wives L.A., the 31-year-old baller hasn't even watched the show.
"I haven't watched it," Barnes told Loop 21. "I know this year with L.A. Basketball Wives, it's a little more family oriented. That's why I'm on the show a little bit more, but for the most part as long as we get away from those crazy girls in Miami I'm cool."
Barnes couldn't get that far away from "those crazy girls," in reference to the first two seasons of Basketball Wives. Jennifer Williams and daughter of cast member Evelyn Lozada, Shaniece, also came to the surprise party to celebrate Michelle's birthday.
And his fiance Gloria seem to be happy despite rumors that the two split last month. Along with Laura Govan, the two were seen attending fashion shows including the Indashio Spring collection.
"We're real. We're not perfect," Barnes said of his relationship with Gloria. "We just don't air out our dirty laundry. This is our real lives."
