Michael Ealy To Star In 'Common Law'

Cop drama will shoot In New Orleans
Michael Ealy, known for his roles in "For Colored Girls" and "Their Eyes Were Watching God" recently received good news: USA Networks ordered eleven episodes of his hour-long cop drama "Common Law."
The series follows partners Ealy as Travis Marks, and Warren Kole as Wes Mitchell, both Los Angeles Police Department officers who don't necessarily get along. In an effort to keep the peace, their captain (Jack McGee) sends the two bickering cops to couples counseling.
“When CBS Television Studios sent us the script of Common Law, we immediately fell in love with the writing, the characters and the premise,” said USA co-presidents Jeff Wachteland Chris McCumber in a release.
Production for the television series will start next month in New Orleans. A premiere date has not been officially set for the series.
