The Most High Profile Celebrity Paternity Scandals
1 year ago
From Mick Jagger to Antonio Cromartie
Justin Bieber is not the only celebrity to have faced a high profile paternity scandal. Below a look at some of the most famous (or rather infamous).

Mick Jagger and Marsha Hunt and Mick Jagger and Luciana Morad:
In 1972, Jagger was sued by African-American singer Marsha Hunt, rumored to be the inspiration for the Rolling Stones classic “Brown Sugar” for child support for Karis, his oldest daughter, then two years old. A settlement was reached and since then he has been actively involved in his oldest daughter’s life. In 1999 Brazilian model Luciana Morad sued Jagger for child support for his youngest son. The scandal is credited with bringing about the end of his nearly two-decade relationship with model Jerry Hall.

Boris Becker and Angela Ermakova:
In 1999, the tennis great, who remains the youngest male winner in the history of Wimbledon, was sued for paternity by a model/waitress who he engaged in a minutes long tryst with in a broom closet at Nobu London. (Allegedly his wife was on the way to the hospital with pre-labor pains at the time). Though he initially denied paternity, the ensuing case resulted in the demise of his marriage which triggered an international custody and financial battle. He now shares custody of his daughter with Ermakova.

Jude Law and Samantha Burke:
In 2009 aspiring actress Samantha Burke announced that actor Jude Law was the father of her soon to be born daughter. The two had engaged in what has been described as a “fling” but reached a financial settlement shortly after their daughter’s birth.

Stephen Soderbergh and Francis Lawrencina Anderson:
In early 2011 the Academy Award winning director of films like “Traffic” was sued after fathering a child with an Australian film student he met while directing a play in Sydney.

Hugh Grant and Tinglan Hong:
Though famous for his roles in romantic comedies, British actor Hugh Grant is equally famous for being a lifelong bachelor. His publicist recently announced that he has become a father thanks to what his representatives describe as a “fleeting affair” earlier this year with an aspiring actress two decades his junior. Mother and child are said to now be residing in a newly purchased mansion, courtesy of Grant.
Antonio Cromartie:
A cornerback for the New York Jets, the 27-year-old Cromartie has fathered nine children with eight different women. To meet his child support obligations he was required to request a $500,000 advance from the New York Jets in 2010.
