Samuel L. Jackson Says Obama Has 'A F*cked Up Job'

The actor that never turns down a role knows a bad job when he sees one
Samuel L. Jackson has played everything from a man who kills for money to a man who kills for justice all while wearing some very interesting make up and wigs. But for every bad job he's taken in his illustrious career, there's one job that he thinks is worst than them all: Being President of the United States of America.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Jackson speaks candidly (does he know any other way) about the highest office in the land and the guy current sitting in it.
"Being president is one of those fucked-up jobs," he says. "You hope you can figure some shit out and deal with all these hardheaded motherfuckers and get reelected. Then you can go in and tell motherfuckers to kiss your ass and do what the fuck I say, or I will fuck you up. That’s how you get shit done. That’s the audacity of hope.”
Jackson's newest job however may be one of his most challenging. He is stepping away from the big screen and returning to Broadway for the first time in 20 years to play Martin Luther King, Jr. in The Mountaintop. It will not be a grand production. Jackson says that he is playing MLK while he is out on the road, in a hotel lobby just chatting it up with a maid who will be played by Angela Basset, the only other actor that will be on stage with him the whole time.
"The King I am showing just came in from delivering the ‘I’ve Been to the Mountaintop’ speech,” he says. “He’s the guy alone in a hotel room talking to a woman."
Don't fret. There isn't any extra-marital romance taking place between King and the maid. The mere mention of the idea of MLK stepping out on Coretta has gotten entire movie scripts thrown in the trash. So we're sure this play will have no such happenings.
But back to Jackson, it is with great irony that he is playing King. Like King, Jackson attended Morehouse College in Atlanta. But, unlike King, he was expelled from the school for organizing a protest against Morehouse's board of trustees.
MLK's father happened to be one of those trustees.
Things that make you go hmmm.
