Jaleel White's cameo in Cee-Lo Green video makes him fashionable
Jaleel White, the guy who played Steve Urkel on Family Matters is a style icon?
According to an interview with GQ Magazine, yes. After starring in Cee-Lo Green's 1950's-themed "Cry Baby" video, fashion designers came knocking and now he's set to start a clothing line named...Stefan.
"Jerry Leigh Apparel out in California reached out to us after the video," he told the magazine. "The name of the line is going to be Stefan—it'll fuse the two looks of the characters I played [on Family Matters]."
Yes, this means that he will have a clothing featuring the all white suit he wore to woo Laura Winslow. Yes, this means he's coming back to reclaim the Urkel look that Kanye West made cool.
White sees it as a perfect time to drop a Urkel-inspired clothing line because when you go outside, that's pretty much how guys are dressing now.
"It just takes a little tweaking of the style, that's it," he says. "Lower the pants, add a little flair to the shirt collar, and it's like, "Wait a minute! The same guy we're regarding as a nerd is suddenly cool."
Please quick! Somebody call Karl Kani and tell him we need him back too.
