Tyra Banks' 'Modelland' Debuts on New York Times Best Seller List

Former model Tyra Banks' new young adult fantasy fiction novel, Modelland, recently debuted at #2 on the New York Times Best Seller List. Modelland, the first installment part of a three-book series, introduces readers to Tookie De La Crème. A 15-year-old aspiring model, De La Crème receives an unexpected invitation to Modelland, an exclusive mountaintop locale, a place where she seemingly doesn't belong. Banks spent five years creating and crafting this novel, which hit bookshelves and e-readers on Sept. 13. The book is also rumored to be turning into a movie thanks to Hollywood executives. Banks is also the author of Tyra's Beauty Inside & Out, a self-help book that gives practical beauty advice to women.
