Elmo's Accuser Flips Again, Says Underage Sex DID Happen
6 months ago
Says he was paid to say relationship with puppeteer Kevin Clash was 'adult consensual'
In the latest chapter of the story that just won't end (no matter how much we'd all like it to), the man who first accused, then recanted allegations that Elmo puppeteer and voice Kevin Clash had a relationship with him when he was an underage teenager, now says he doesn't take it back.
The man, identified as Sheldon Stephens, was paid a $125,000 settlement last week in return for changing his story but now says he wants to return the money and tell what he says is the true story, according to TMZ.

Stephens, 23, signed a written statement saying he and Clash had an "adult consensual relationship,” but Stephens now says he was pressured into it, and that he and Clash began a sexual relationship when he was indeed 16, TMZ reports. Stephens was in Los Angeles talking to lawyers and trying to figure out how to return the money.
Stephens has a checkered past that includes an arrest for allegedly robbing a former boss of a $250,000 gold necklace at knifepoint in 2009, according to The Smoking Gun. He also has been arrested on charges he passed a bad check and of reckless driving.
