Jose Baez will represent Chris Serino during the trial of George Zimmerman
The Miami Herald is reporting that Jose Baez, the attorney who gained national attention by getting Casey Anthony acquitted of murder, will represent Chris Serino, the controversial lead investigator for the Trayvon Martin case.
Serino's hiring means that the same attorney who defended Anthony is now involved in the trial of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain facing second degree murder charges for shooting the unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin February.

According to published reports, Serino initially doubted Zimmerman's story and wanted the neighborhood watchman charged with manslaughter and even filed an affidavit to that effect.
"You ever hear of Murphy's Law," Serino says on the recording, according to ABC News. "This person was not doing anything bad."

No charges were filed against Zimmerman at the time of the arrest because former police chief, Bill Lee, said there was a lack of evidence.
