The Jovan Belcher murder-suicide case just took an unfortunate turn as new details reveal the football player was drunk when he shot his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, 9 times. The Kansas Chiefs linebacker then drove to the team headquarters and shot hisself, even though he had the blood alcohol level of .17—twice the legal limit for driving in Missouri.
Belcher, 25, and Perkins, 22, leave behind an infant girl, who was being cared for by Belcher’s mom at the time of the shooting. Their families are currently fighting for custody over the little girl. (New York Post)
