The "Black Mamba" showcases new "Snake Pool" Nikes in Lakers' first game of the preseason

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant gave fans a sneak peak at his latest shoes, the Nike Zoom Kobe VII Snake Pool, during the Lakers' first game of the preseason.

Even with the additions of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash on the floor, all eyes Sunday were on Kobe's seemingly mismatched feet.

The Snake Pools are predominately yellow on one foot and predominately purple on the other, with shoestrings of the opposite color in each.

Dime Magazine's Andrew Greif did his best to explain the takeaway from the Snake Pools today.

"These Laker-colored editions have opposite colorways on each foot, resulting in a mirror Laker image that you'll likely see on the road when the Lakers wear their purple uniforms. No release date or pricing is known yet."
