Magazine Portrays First Lady As Trangendered Woman

On its fifth cover, Candy Magazine will portray Michelle Obama as a transgender being sworn-in.

Candy, a magazine targeted toward transgender people, will be channeling the First Lady on the cover of its fifth edition. The cover features a transgendered woman being sworn-in as a politician, closely resembling Michelle Obama.

Magazine publisher Luis Venegas told Dazed Digital that he saw this as another controversial wall to break down. “‘When will the time come when these archaic walls break down and the White House will be occupied by, for example, a black, transsexual woman?” he said. Despite Venegas' views, a majority of the black population still don’t support gay marriage. Is America, yet alone Black America, ready for a transgendered commander-in-chief or First Lady?
