Maya Angelou Chats With Stars in Black History Radio Special
“Tell Our Stories” airs on more than 175 public radio stations throughout February
Maya Angelou is continuing her annual Black History Month program with some serious star power. The acclaimed poet and author interviewed media mogul Oprah Winfrey, musician Alicia Keys, and singer-actress Jennifer Hudson for “Telling Our Stories,” a series of radio segments airing on more than 175 public radio stations throughout the month. “We owe the truth, not just the facts,” Angelou says of the radio series. “I’m celebrating my 84th year on this planet. I’ve seen many things, I’ve learned many things. I’ve certainly been exposed to many things and I’ve learned something: I out it to you, to tell you.” (Associated Press)
