More African Americans Giving Up Meat and Dairy
9 months ago
Are blacks tiring of the "itis"?
A recent story published in the Toledo Blade is taking note of the growing trend of African Americans switching up their diets.
While they admit not having much actual evidence, they say that recent number of books connecting vegetarianism with black folks is an indication that more African Americans are opting to leave meat and dairy alone.
In interviews conducted for the story, many say they found themselves in better health with more energy after going vegetarian.
They are not alone.
Financial Times is reporting that McDonald's is planning on opening vegetarian versions of their restaurant in New Delhi. If the project is successful, they plan to bring it to the states.
Starting a vegetarian lifestyle it seems may be the way to go in future.
Mother Jones predicts that because of a depleting water supply, animals may be scarce in 2050, forcing all of us to become vegetarians.
Are you looking forward to it?
