Authorities: White Man Shoots, Kills Black Teen Because He Felt Threatened
Man fired into teenager's SUV eight or nine times
Florida police say a man who shot a 17-year-old boy while he was sitting in the backseat of an SUV did so after an argument over the teenager's loud music.
The Jacksonville sheriff's department said Jordan Davis, 17, was sitting in a parked SUV with a few other teens when Michael Dunn, 45, pulled up next to them in a car and asked them to turn down their music.

Davis and Dunn exchanged words, and afterward Dunn grabbed a gun and shot eight or nine times into the SUV, hitting Davis twice, police said. Authorities say no one else was hurt.
Dunn was riding with his girlfriend, who was inside a convenience store when the shooting happened. The two drove away and onlookers took down the license plate.
The couple heard a news report Saturday morning indicating someone had died in the shooting, deputies said, and they then returned to Brevard.
Dunn was arrested Saturday at his home and charged with murder and attempted murder and was still being held without bail. Dunn's attorney told News4Jax that her client "felt threatened" and acted in self defense after seeing a shotgun. Police said no shotgun was found in the teens' car.
