Tests show no abnormal signs following her bone marrow transplant.
In a surprise video appearance on Good Morning America, news anchor Robin Roberts expressed her plans to return to the morning show after undergoing a bone marrow transplant. She said her recent test showed no abnormal signs.
In June, Roberts was diagnosed with MDS, a bone and marrow disorder. She took medical leave in September to undergo a transplant and has been keeping viewers informed of her recovery.
“I’m coming home,” she said as she gleamed with excitement. “I should be back sometime in February. Now I have a date in mind that’s very personal and very important to me--.” She says she will still follow doctors’ orders and gradually transition back onto the studio couch. Side effects of her treatment still include blurry vision and sensitive skin. Her doctors are also wary that it is currently flu season. “There’s a lot of factors still,” she said. (Huffington Post)
