Dancing With The Stars: And Another (Favorite) Bites the Dust...

But there's some good news
I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted about “Dancing With The Stars,” but I regret to inform you about another elimination that I actually care about.
Auntie Gladys Knight and her partner Tristan MacManus have been booted from the competition. She had been doing so well, but when it came down to her Jive, it wasn’t enough to convince judge Bruno Tonioli that she should stay competing over Disney star Rashon Fegan.
Gladys said, “It didn’t really matter what dance they chose as long as you are able to put it together and execute it. I thought we had a good dance and they felt that someone else did a better job of it.”
Knight seemed to take it in stride and kept her poise, unlike Sherri Shepherd, who went out crying like a baby (it was because of her passion about the competition, though!).

Gladys continued, “We are not naïve, we know the game and we know what kind of ballpark we are operating in and all those things, but we can’t give in to the negative, because that can keep you from going as far as you can go. But you have to be prepared in some way for whatever. That was the last thing I said on the tape, whatever. We will do our best and that’s it.”
At least Knight knows the game. Personally, I believe she did an excellent job. I’m still surprised but the nature of the competition is so unpredictable that you just never know whose getting cut next sometimes, even the dancers who are really good hence Shepherd’s departure.
The good news is that Auntie Gladys lost 60 lbs. due to all the dancing.
Should Gladys Knight have gone home over Rashon Fegan?
P.S. Gladys Knight is only my “auntie” in my head.
