Deion's Smear Campaign Against Pilar Continues: "Swear on My Mama, I Never Touched Her"

Continues to profess his innocence in messy divorce drama
Deion Sanders and his ex-wife Pilar recently made headlines when it was reported that she and a friend jumped Sanders in front of their kids. Following the incident, Sanders Tweeted a photo of him and his sons filling out police reports after the incident.
Sanders claims that he stepped forward about the altercation first because he didn’t want the public to believe that he had abused his wife, which would tarnish his image. And he’s still talking. He appeared on “Good Morning America” to fire off more shots against Pilar and laid it on thick in an attempt to look like the victim.

Speaking to Robin Roberts about the altercation, Deion said he has never put his hands on Pilar and claims that his children are doing pretty well despite the negativity and thanked God that both of his sons witnessed what took place. Watch:
It seems like speaking out to the media is more about getting good PR for Deion (since he’s opening schools, after all). But it also puts him at risk of being in contempt of court for violating a gag order with regards to talking about his divorce case.
I don’t know what happened in the Sanders home but it’s ridiculous that Deion is revealing this type of drama to the public. If he and Pilar are going to court then that’s where they should handle this, which makes me believe that Deion is trying to cover up his actions in the situation. Sometimes people do snap and go crazy, but in the case of a divorce and matters of the heart, you never know why a couple would turn on each other. I doubt that Pilar would just randomly attack the man unprovoked.
Again, I don’t know what’s really happening behind the scenes but this is just too messy and I’m disappointed that he's making this drama such a public spectacle. It seems like he cares more about his public image than the children who are dragged into this circus. He might think they’re OK now, but they might surprise him when they get to their teenage years and start lashing out.
Plus, it doesn’t sit well with me that this is conveniently being sensationalized on the brink of a new reality show about Sanders' post NFL career.
Is Deion Sanders doing the right thing by stepping forward? Whose side of the story do you believe?
