Actor Djimon Hounsou has been tapped to star in the new film Zulu, a gritty South African crime-drama, opposite Orlando Bloom (Lord of The Rings).
Set in Cape Town, Hounsou and Bloom will play two police officers, once divided by apartheid, who come together to fight crime.
The film will be based on Caryl Ferey's 2010 novel of the same title, and will be directed by Jerome Salle. Shooting will commence in Cape Town, South Africa in July.
The Oscar-nominated actor was last seen on the big screen as Caliban in the 2010 Shakespeare drama The Tempest.
