Can the reality show snag her?
Ever since Vanessa Bryant shocked the NBA world by filing for divorce from Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant, many are wondering if she will open up and give sports lovers a peek inside the Bryant's family life.
VH1 is wondering the same thing, as producers are hurriedly attempting to cast the soon-to-be ex-Mrs. Bryant on their hit reality show Basketball Wives, L.A. edition.
The show, which features women connected to basketball players showcases the lives of Gilbert Arenas' on-and-off again fiancée Laura Govan, her sister and one-time fiancé of Matt Barnes' Gloria Govan, Doug Christie's wife Jackie, Meta World Peace's longtime partner Kimsha Artest along with Imani Showalter and Draya Michele, who have both been connected to players in their past.
Still, scoring Vanessa Bryant could mean big ratings for the network, and sources say VH1 is pulling out all the stops.
Sources say they are creating "an extremely lucrative pitch for Vanessa" in an effort to make her a recurring character on the show.
“Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level,” the source continued.
