Black Comedians Give Props to Eddie Murphy

Spike TV to air tribute to legendary comedian on Nov. 14

Arsenio Hall. Martin Lawrence. Chris Rock. Keenan Ivory Wayans. That’s just some of the big names honoring legendary comedian and Golden Globe winner Eddie Murphy over the weekend. Even Stevie Wonder, the subject of one of Murphy’s most well-known “Saturday Night Live” impression, performed with the comedian during the taping of Spike TV’s “Eddie Murphy: One Night Only.” The Roots served as the house band. The special will air on Nov. 14. "I am a very, very bitter man," the 51-year-old Murphy said during the tribute. "I don't get touched easily, and I am really touched." (Associated Press)
