The 90s R&B group returns with album celebrating 20th year
R&B fans get ready to get your rhythm and blues back. Platinum 90’s group Boyz II Men has announced a new CD in the works. According to the group’s website, a date is already set for their album Twenty (named after their number of years in the business). This will be the group’s first project in nine years.
Twenty will include twenty songs on a double disc—half Boyz II Men classics like “End of the Road” and “I’ll Make Love To You,” and the rest new material. The group already has a promotional video on YouTube (see below).
“When we first started the concept of Twenty we wanted to make sure we accomplished all of our history as well. The concept was to bring the old and the new together,” Nathan Morris said in the promo.
But not all members will be joining the anticipated reunion. The video reveals only Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris and Shawn Stockman will be recording the album. There were no signs of Michael McCary, who as you may remember left the group in 2003 due to health issues.
Twenty is set to hit stores October 24th. It will include songs produced by Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Welcome back R&B. Let’s sing together…”It’s-so-hard-to-say-goodbye-to-yesterdaayyyyyyy!!!”
