Celebs Demand A Plan in Gun Violence PSA

Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, John Legend and others are using their fame to urge stricter gun laws.

Following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, where 20 children and 8 adults were killed, celebrities like Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, and Chris Rock used their fame to influence and encourage change.  They joined several other stars to film “Demand a Plan,” a PSA urging stricter gun laws. The video also featured NBS stars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and TV talk show hosts Ellen DeGeneres and Conan O’Brien.

"Columbine. Virginia Tech. Tucson. Aurora. Fort Hood. Oak Creek. Newtown. Newtown. Newtown.” they said, taking turns to list several mass and individual shooting tragedies.

Approximately 800 mayors and 800,000 grassroots supporters are behind the campaign, demanding President Obama and Congress move forward with action to end gun violence. Following the Newtown murders, the National Rifle Association called for armed security guards at every school.
