Twenty-five-year old rap-singing dropout worked with a private tutor
Here’s something you don’t hear rap stars say very often: “I got my high school diploma.” Those words came from a very exited 25-year-old rap-singer Drake, at Thursday night’s Tyra Banks TZONE Foundation gala in New York City. Drake told the event crowd that he’d taken a small break from his music career to earn his diploma. On Wednesday, he notified his Twitter followers that he’d earned a 97 percent on his final exam and an 88 percent in his last class with the help of a private tutor. The Canadian born music star dropped out of high school to play a wheelchair-bound high school student in the TV series “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” (Associated Press)
97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!
