Fantasia to Headline Super Bowl Gospel Concert

Fundraiser will include other big names, local acts before the big game in New Orleans

Grammy-winning R&B singer Fantasia, along with a host of national and local gospel acts, will help uplift the city of New Orleans as it plans to host a successful Super Bowl. Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans and Bishop Paul S. Morton of New Orleans will join Fantasia for the “Super Bowl Gospel Celebration,” hosted by Sherri Shepherd, host of ABC’s “The View.” The NFL-sanctioned event is in its 14th year and will be held on Friday, Feb. 1. The Big Game will be played at the Superdome on Feb. 3, with Beyoncé as the halftime performer. Tickets for the gospel concert start at $40. Tickets sales will raise money for a number of charities, including the Malcolm Jenkins Foundation, founded by the New Orleans Saints player. (Associated Press)
