Salute! Gabrielle Douglas To Publish Second Memoir
2 months ago
Book focuses on her daily life with behind-the-scenes details
Gabrielle Douglas is just as fierce and hard working on the gym mats as she is in her public life. That’s evident, given the 17-year-old Olympic gold medalist, on Tuesday, announced she will release a second memoir next month. “Raising the Bar,” will be a follow-up to her 2012 best-selling memoir “Grace, Gold, Glory” My Lead of Faith,” on April 30, publisher Zondervan said in a release. The book will offer a behind-the-scene look into Douglas’ life and will include color photos. Readers will see “what it’s like to be an everyday teen with a not-so-everyday life,” the publisher said. Douglas, of course, became the first African American and gymnast to win both the team and individual all-around gymnastics competition gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. (Reuters)
