Store security wrongly accused Williams and his friends

Even when Katt Williams isn't in trouble, people think he's in trouble. Well, not so fast! Ohio police came to the comedian's defense yesterday when he and his entourage were wrongly accused of stealing at a Best Buy, TMZ reports.

A spokesperson for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department says Williams and his friends, which included a 22-year-old female, were questioned by police after store security reported that he saw the woman pocketing merchandise.

After a brief investigation, the police proved the accusation were false and that the woman was simply "putting her own property into her purse."

During questioning, however, they did find a small amount of marijuana in the woman's purse. She was cited for misdemeanor possession of the illegal substance. 

"The entire group were cooperative and nothing else occurred," police added.
