Burglar sees just how “hard as hell” hip hop icon really is
Before launching his film and television career, LL Cool J had one refrain that fans and foes knew well: “I’m gonna knock you out.” That’s apparently what the 44-year-old did early Wednesday morning, when police say he subdued a suspected burglar at his home near Los Angeles. LA police said James Todd Smith (LL’s government name) had his daughter call 911 and inform them that her father was holding the intruder downstairs. The 58-year-old suspect, who appeared to be a homeless person, was take to a hospital and was expected to be arrested on suspicion of burglary, police said. LL was unharmed in the scuffle. “As a father, husband and citizen, [LL] is committed to keeping his family safe and is coorperating with authorities on this private matter,” his publicist said in a released statement.
