The singer's rough year gets worse
Mary J. Blige and her husband Kendu Isaacs are being sued for allegedly defaulting on a $2.2 million bank loan. Signature Bank is seeking to recoup the original loan - taken out in October 2011 and reportedly defaulted in July 2012 - plus $58,000 in interest. The news comes shortly after the singer was faced with another financial mishap. Earlier this year, her charity with Steve Stoute, the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now Inc. (FFAWN), was accused of mishandling funds and cheating scholarship students. MJB hasn't been having the best year, as she was also replaced by actress Zoe Saldana to play Nina Simone on film, and was lambasted for doing a controversial Burger King commecial. (Reuters)
