Actor says the president’s accomplishments inspired the donation
There are one million reasons President Barack Obama has to thank actor Morgan Freeman.
On Friday, filings with the Federal Election Commission show Freeman donated $1 million to a pro-Obama super PAC last month, CNN reports.
The “Dark Knight Rises” actor released a statement giving the reasons why he donated to Priorities USA Action:
"Pres. Obama has done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances. He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court."

Freeman went on to say that he was “proud” to lend his voice and defend the president.
Obama has lagged behind his Republican rival, Mitt Romney, who has outraised the incumbent by a significant margin.
