But it's more than just a dating game show
Oprah's new reality show "Lovetown, USA" will document a social experiment on love in the small town of Kingsland, Georgia, the former 'marriage capital of the South.' There will be no rose ceremonies or challenges; instead, the media mogul has enlisted two acclaimed matchmakers to help build love in a struggling community by helping six singles find "The One," mending broken friendships, and inspiring feelings of kindness, forgiveness and appreciation amongst the 15,000 townspeople. Everyone from the mayor to grade school students gives a helping hand. Host and matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson said, "Keep in mind, there was no artificial drama 'produced' in this series. Everything you see organically happened. There was no script. We simply turned the cameras on in the morning and documented the process." "Lovetown, USA" premieres on Sunday, August 19, at 10/9c.
