Salute: President Obama Host Screening Of Jackie Robinson Film
Film opens in theaters on April 12
President Obama may have missed the opportunity to screen black-produced "The First Family," but he isn't making that mistake with "42," the biopic about barrier breaking African American baseball player Jackie Robinson. Obama will host the cast and crew at the White House family movie theater on Tuesday evening, a spokesman said. The film stars actors Chadwick Boseman as Robinson and Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey. The film opens in theaters nationwide on April 12. View a trailer below.
