Judge found skirted restrictions from his 2008 drug and gun conviction
Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill won’t be on the road performing songs from his October debut album “Dreams & Nightmares” for at least a month, after a judge found he violated probation restrictions from a 2008 drug and gun conviction. Judge Genece Brinkley on Monday said the rapper, whose government name is Robert Williams, violated an order that restricted his performance scheduling and failed to keep in touch with his probation officer. Williams’ attorney Gary Silver said the restrictions were preventing his client from earning a living, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Silver also argued that Meek Mill didn’t need to check in with his probation officer because his fans take and post pictures of him when he’s touring on social media. (The Associated Press)
