Music Buzz: The Roots’ Drummer Questlove To Release A Memoir

Famed hip hop soul producer writes about his impressive 20-year career

What is Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson doing in between tours with The Roots, performing with some of the biggest names in urban mainstream music, and sitting in as a member of the house band for NBC’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon?” He’s writing his memoir, of course! On Wednesday, the 42-year-old Thompson announced “Mo’ Meta Blues: The Would According to Questlove,” a memoir, will be released on June 18 by Grand Central Publishing. The book includes with his experiences with “celebrities, idols and fellow artists” including Stevie Wonder and Jay-Z.
