Bobby Womack, in a recent interview with the BBC, has announced that he’s been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said the diagnosis came after he noticed difficulty remembering his songs and then names of people he’s working with. The 68-year-old soul singer has had a wide-ranging career, spanning 50 years as both a performer and songwriter. The Alzheimer’s diagnosis is the latest health problem for Womack, who’s also been fighting cancer. (Associated Prees)
