Republican Compares Food Stamp Recipients to 'Wild Animals'

Rep. Mary Franson puts foot in mouth with controversial comment.

Republicans and food stamps have never been the best of friends.

The state of Florida recently passed a law in which all welfare recipients would have to be drug tested.

The states of Georgia and Alabama are looking at this as a possibility as well.

But while many Republicans may hint at welfare users being deadbeats, leeches and drug users, nothing may compare to what Republican Mary Franson termed them.

In the video below that runs 35 seconds, the Republican compared feeding food stamp recipients to feedin wild animals; and how animals will build dependency just like humans would.

Franson came under fire for the comments and immediately removed the video from her YouTube page, but as you can see, there are still clips available online.

The statement came from a quote she received from what she describes as a "little friend."
