Governor Rick Perry’s Greatest Hits
And, of course, by hits we mean things he’s said that made us smile and shake our heads in astonishment
Austin, Texas is calling Rick Perry home. The three term governor of the Lone Star State suspended his campaign on Thursday and endorsed former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
“We have had our differences, which campaigns inevitably bring out,” Perry said during his announcement. “And Newt is not perfect, but who among us is?”
Boy, is that an understatement. [Newt's ex-wife Marianne Gingrich enters, stage right.]

Perry, many politicos say, should have dropped out after Iowa. Then after New Hampshire, when it was clear the gun-toting southerner wasn't dropping out, and no voter polling supported such a decision, Perry continued on the strength of his healthy campaign coffers. That's nearly $17 million that Perry's campaign can slide Gingrich's way.
And so it is with sadness that we release our newest compilation, “Loop21 presents Rick Perry’s Greatest Hits: The Oops Edition.” We’ll miss you, Governor.
