If you’re a Black professional, you probably sleep less hours a night than any other professional.
Sleeping less may be the cause for the higher health risks African-Americans are prone to. Getting more sleep at night helps fight off high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.
The difference in sleep between the races is most likely due to the type of professional work. Many African-Americans have careers that require shift work and have more stressful jobs, which disrupts normal sleeping habits.
