Broccoli Prevents Arthritis?
Butter up that brocolli!
New studies reveal this superfood’s benefits extend to your joints and the prevention of arthritis, which affects 12.4 million people in the U.S.
The broccoli bandwagon is a smart choice as it is packed with vitamins A, B, K, C, and nutrients like potassium, fiber, and zinc.
If you absolutely can't stand the taste, texture, or idea of broccoli, there are a few other anti-arthritis veggies, such as brussel sprouts, cauliflower, and cabbage.
These vegetables contain sulfur compounds that can filter out carcinogens that promote tumor growth. This sulfur-based compound may be blocking enzymes that cause inflammation in cartilage, which is the root of the pain in arthritis.
If that doesn’t sell you, broccoli can also lower risk of other chronic diseases, including obesity.
Get your broccoli on!
